Science is the heart of our homeschool. We love figuring out how things work and investigating the questions we have about life around us. Here are my top Science picks.
Building Blocks of Physical Science – These books are great for all elementary students wanting to dive into Physical Science. It is written in a comic book style. My kids love them. It also piques interest and asks questions. I love the way that it uses real-life experience. We will use these throughout our elementary years. All my Physical Science lessons start with this content.
Mystery Science – I love Mystery Science. When I’m looking for a hands-on experience to further knowledge from our books. I use this site. It is so planner friendly. It even gives a list of supplies (usually household items) you will need per child. Love, love, love it.
Kiwi Co – My kids are natural inventors and Kiwi Co nurtures that passion. It comes with everything you need to create along with a booklet that dives into scientific processes involved. It is a subscription and each of my kids have a different crate subscription but we do them together.
Ada Twist Scientist, Rosie Revere Engineer, and Iggy Peck, Architect are great for exposing kids to these fields, their methods, and engaging kids in pre-planned experiments and activities around these subjects.
See Inside Your Body – This flip and flap book has provided so much fun. We just sit down and the kids pick an area of the body they want to know more about. The kids love opening the flaps with hidden knowledge.
